August 2025 HHCAHPS Survey Training Materials Have Been Posted

The agenda and slides for the August 2025 HHCAHPS Survey Vendor Update Webinar training are now posted under the “Training” tab of the HHCAHPS website. As a reminder, all organizations must register to attend the Update training, at this link:

In addition, we have posted additional planned resources and materials on both the Survey and Protocols webpage and the Data Submission Resources webpage of the HHCAHPS Survey website. IMPORTANT: All planned survey materials are in draft format until CMS’s plans are finalized in the Final Rule expected in late 2025.

Draft survey materials posted to the “Planned Surveys for 2026” view on the Survey and Protocols webpage are:

• Updated draft mail and CATI survey instruments in all languages
• FAQs for rolling out the revised survey
• Crosswalk from original survey to draft updated survey
• Crosswalk of draft publicly reported measures
• Crosswalk of Standard XML data file layout

Draft materials posted to the “Planned” table on the Data Submission Resources webpage are:

• Updated XML Standard and DSRS data file layouts
• Updated Standard, DSRS, and Zero-sampled XSD files

The current HHCAHPS materials are still available through the “View Current Survey Materials” link on the Survey and Protocols webpage and the “Current” table on the Data Submission Resources webpage.
