Include "Consent to Share Responses" (Q35) Question in the “Number of Supplemental Questions” XML Data Element

This announcement serves as an update to the announcement titled "New HHCAHPS Survey XML File Data Element: Number of Supplemental Questions" that was posted to the HHCAHPS website on February 12, 2019. CMS instructs HHCAHPS survey vendors to include Q35, the "consent to share responses" question, in the count of the number of supplemental questions your HHA(s) are adding to the HHCAHPS survey instrument. Most vendors currently add this question to the survey, and it is considered a supplemental question.

Reminder that this data element should not be added until the July 2019 data submission upload.
