Announcement about CY10,Q3 HHCAHPS Data Submissions

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended the data submission deadline for submitting Home Health Care CAHPS (HHCAHPS) Survey data collected for Quarter 3 of 2010 (CY 10,Q3), that is, the July, August and September 2010 sample months.

The new deadline for submitting HHCAHPS data for CY10, Q3 is now 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on this Friday, February 4, 2011.

The extended deadline will enable vendors who did not submit CY10, Q3 HHCAHPS data files by the January 28, 2011 deadline to submit those files so that their client home health agencies (HHAs) will have their CY10,Q3 data submitted as required. HHCAHPS vendors are urged to submit data well in advance of this new deadline; we recommend submitting files no later than Thursday, February 3, 2011 so that any files that have errors can be corrected and pass the nightly checks before 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on February 4, 2011.

Some HHCAHPS vendors could not submit CY10,Q3 HHCAHPS data because their client home health agencies (HHAs) did not complete the online Vendor Authorization Form, which is available on the HHCAHPS Web site at https://homehealthcahps.org/ForHHAs/AuthorizeaVendor.aspx. Please urge your client HHAs that have not yet registered for user credentials and/or authorized you to submit HHCAHPS Survey data on their behalf to do so as soon as possible this week.
